Wensleydale Sheep
The beautiful Wensleydale can be traced back to a single ewe from 1839 in North Yorkshire, England. Prized by handspinners for low-twist worsted yarns, these sheep have fine, long lustrous, curly locks. The fine fiber diameter of Wensleydale provides wonderful drape & stitch definition for knitting & crochet, while the long staple length (adding to strength) is treasured by weavers.
