Navajo Churro

Navajo Churro, the oldest breed in North America, is a rare dual coat breed that played a large role in the Navajo, Pueblo & Hispanic communities textile traditions. The wool offers a lot of variety. From white and light to dark browns. The undercoat alone has a staple length of 3-5″ and micron count from 10 – 35, while the outer coat has a staple length of 6 – 12″ and micron count beginning at 35. Yarns from Navajo Churro are best used when luster and durability are desired.
