East Friesian

East Friesian sheep originate from the northern coast of Germany, the Friesland region. Introduced to the United States in 1993 this breed is often referred to as the ‘Holsteins’ of the sheep world. The wool from East Friesian sheep varies in its characteristics with microns spanning from 26 – 37. The sheep are typically either black or white with staple lengths anywhere from 3-6 inches.
