Sue Nagel: Sandpiper Yarns

Sandpiper yarns are one of a kind, handpainted and handspun yarns. I begin with specially sourced fiber from local farms, including Merino, Blue Faced Leicester, Icelandic, Romney, Alpaca, and Llama. I individually hand paint small batches of roving, to spin 3-5 skeins of each colorway.

My dyeing process incorporates organic and acid dyes spontaneously blended to create unique skeins. Handpainting before spinning ensures a complex colorway, particularly when plied.

My yarn is sold in shops, at fairs, and on my website.
