Hawk Hill Farm
On 70 acres, hidden amongst forest and meadows in Berkshire NY, is Hawk Hill Farm where Erin Shaft and her family raise a small flock of both registered and unregistered Shetland Sheep, as well as chickens and ducks.
They got started in this endeavor with the goal of becoming as self-sufficient as possible using and gaining skills such as animal husbandry, gardening, hunting, and forestry. Erin chose Shetlands because of their wide range of natural colors and friendly dispositions.
