Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival
West Friendship
MD
Forty-five years of celebrating sheep and wool and in 2018 we are happy to welcome you again!
This year we’re pleased to be hosting the Natural Colored Wool Growers Association National Show in the Show Ring on Saturday afternoon. If you are interested in natural colored sheep and wool, this is a fantastic opportunity to see and purchase some of the best examples of natural colored sheep and wool you can find anywhere.
We’ll also be home to the National Lincoln Show and Sale at this year’s Festival. This sale will take place as part of our all-breeds sheep sale on Saturday evening, with the show for these sale sheep happening on Friday evening. Attendance at this show is free and will give you a chance to evaluate the animals that will be up for sale on Saturday. There will be some top quality animals available for sale. Come and see some of the best of this handsome and versatile breed.
The Festival gates will open to the public at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. If you’re an early bird we hear there are many meetings, greeting and even knitting in the line, which moves quickly once the gates are open.
Whatever it is that inspires you to join us at the Festival, we look forward to having you and the amazing enthusiasm you bring! Feel free to stop by and say hi to either one of us during the Festival – you can find Gwen at her Hill Farm booth in Barn 3, and Lee is usually at the Fleece Show & Sale.
