2021 Local Fiber Pop-up Shop

In partnership with Downtown Ithaca Alliance and Hilton Garden Inn Ithaca LocalFiber hosted a seven-week Pop-up Shop in Nov-Dec 2021 in a beautiful retail space on the 1st floor of the Hilton Garden in on Seneca St in Ithaca, NY. The Popup was wildly successful and the shop grossed over $28,000! Our vendors included fourteen farms and two fiber artists, many of whom participated in staffing and running the shop. It was a wonderful cooperative event that was incredibly well-received locally! Interest in local natural fiber products is growing!

The Local Fiber Pop-up Shop featured handspun and mill-spun yarn, spinning fibers, beautiful hand-knit and hand-woven items, hand-dyed fiber, plant-dyed fiber, hats, mittens, gloves, slippers, sheepskins, wet and needle felted items, gifts and more! All of the products in the store were made from wool, mohair, alpaca, and angora fiber from farms right around Ithaca and in the Finger Lakes region. The Pop-up was staffed by LocalFiber.org members, a majority of whom are fiber farmers themselves.

The shop was open Wednesday November 10th, 2021 until December 27, 2021.
Store Hours: Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday 12pm – 6pm, and Thursday 12pm – 8pm.
